Importing Data to Akaunting



If you are a new user seeking to migrate data from your current accounting solution, Importing data to Akaunting is easy with the Migrating to Akaunting feature.



You need to search and install the migration app of your current accounting solution from the App store.

For example, if your current Accounting Software is Xero, search for Xero in the App Store search bar and Install it.

Then, follow the outlined steps to move your data successfully.

**Importing data manually to Akaunting**



Akaunting makes it easy to import data manually. You can import Transactions, Inventory Items/Groups, Invoices, Contacts, etc.

To import data manually:


- * Go to the page you wish to import data from the Navigation Menu


- * On the page, click Import or the ellipses icon at the top left corner.


- * Select Import from the ellipses dropdown options.


- * On the Import page, Download the sample file and fill in the necessary fields.


- * Save as XLS or XLSX. These are the only allowed file types with a 500 maximum row.


- * Upload your file to Akaunting.


- * Click Import. It takes a couple of minutes.

You’ll get a notification on the sidebar notification icon. Also, a confirmation will be sent to your email once the upload is completed.
