Importing Transactions to Akaunting



Akaunting makes it easy to import your business transactions manually.

Importing Transactions to Akaunting:


- * Go to Banking on the Navigation menu.


- * Select Transactions from the expanded options.


- * On the Transactions page, click Import or the ellipses icon at the top left corner.


- * Select Import from the ellipses dropdown options.


- On the Import Transactions page, Download the sample file and fill in the provided fields. Some of the necessary fields are:- Type: Categorize the transaction as Income or Expense.

- - * Transaction number

- - * Paid at: Add the date of payment.

- - * Currency code: Specify the currency code.

- - * Currency rate: Add the currency rate if the transaction isn’t in USD.

- - * Account name: Specify the transaction account according to your listed accounts on Akaunting.

- - * Category name: Deposit, Sales, POS sale, etc.

- - Payment method: Credit Card, Bank transfer, Cash, etc.- Save the file as XLS or XLSX.


- * Upload your file to Akaunting.


- * Click Import and wait for a few seconds. This may vary depending on the size of the data.

You’ll get a notification on the sidebar notification icon. Also, a confirmation will be sent to your email once the upload is completed.
